    ATTN: Artists and Creatives! Each month, the Art Therapy Institute hosts 2nd Friday ArtWalk artists! Throughout the year, we showcase our clinical programs, individual clients and community based artists. If you are interested in showing your work, APPLY to be an artist! Please include a brief artist statement/bio, description of your work, 2-3 images representative of the work you will show, which month(s) you are interested/available in participating, and contact information. The ATI Artwalk Committee will review applicants and notify artists within 4 weeks of submission with a decision of acceptance. To review our Call for Artists Guidelines & to apply --> http://www.ncati.org/call-for-artist-guidelines Artists from marginalized backgrounds are especially encouraged. We welcome submissions from any and all artists.

    Toms Creek Information Session The purpose of this session is to provide information about past, current, and future Town efforts to manage runoff and flooding in the Toms Creek watershed. The session is intended for anyone residing in the watershed who would like to learn more about relevant Town efforts, and follow and be involved in efforts going forward. Those not residing in the watershed are also welcome. Town staff will provide a presentation, followed by a question and answer session. The presentation will address: 1) the history of flooding dating back to the 1980s, while noting more recent intense storms. 2) activities starting in 2013 including site visits/data gathering, public meetings, an engineering/flood study, pursuit of FEMA funds, and establishment of a Stormwater Utility and Enterprise Fund; 3) plans for addressing the issues going forward.
